The University of Iowa's Indian Student Alliance will be hosting their annual Diwali festival, the auspicious Indian holiday, also known as the "Festival of Lights". This festival celebrates the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. This year, the Indian Student Alliance will be collaborating with the South Asian Student Alliance to take the event to new heights. Featuring an authentic Indian dinner followed by a cultural showcase, the event is significant for the Indian community in Iowa City and the nearby areas, displaying the talents of University of Iowa students, community members, and performers from across the state.
